TOURNAMENTS FOR 2026
The TOURNAMENTS for this year are as follows:
MAPLEWOOD – Tuesday, June 9th – Rain Date: Tuesday June 16th
La BROQUIRE – Tuesday, July 14th – Rain Date: Tuesday July 21st
TEULON – Tuesday, Aug 11th – Rain Date: Tuesday Aug. 18th
CARMAN – Tuesday, Sept 8th – Rain Date – Tuesday Sept.15th
All Tournaments will be the price of Green Fees plus $10.00 for Prize Money.
All Tournaments will be a Shotgun or Modified Shotgun Start so hopefully we will have good turnouts.
Remember if you are shooting from the RED tees – I have to know!!! I will be making up the teams a week before the tournament and sending it out to the courses.
Also if you wish to bring a guest, you can – and they will be in your foursome.
Golfers must check in with me when they get there and they will receive a ticket for the prize draw. Only one ticket per person – no exceptions!
New TIME TO PLAY Rule in TOURNAMENTS
A new rule for this year that we will be trying out is to encourage teams to complete their round of golf within four hours and thirty minutes.
If for some reason your round cannot be completed within that time, you will have the option to finish your game and play all the holes.
HOWEVER, if you are not in the clubhouse after five hours you will NOT be eligible for any prize awards – this includes Hole Prizes and Flight Prizes. Your score will only be eligible for the e-handicap system.
A Modified Shotgun Start begins at 10:00 a.m. Everyone eligible for prizes should be back at the clubhouse by 3:00 p.m. barring any unforeseen circumstances.
All captains are to enforce the “READY GOLF RULE”
In order to maintain pace of play, members should play “ready golf” at all times. Ready golf is defined as “each golfer within a group hitting when ready”, rather than strictly adhering to the principle that the farthest from the hole plays first
This rule is being put into play to speed up the game as in past years we have had complaints of slower players taking 5 to 5 1/2 hours to play a round of golf.
All tournaments are Shotgun or Modified Shotgun starts, so everyone should be coming into the clubhouse at around the same time. (As of January 23, 2025)
